Ultra Sanabria Races

The Ultra Sanabria by Stages is a nature-based sports competition that can be undertaken individually or in teams of two people, offering a variety of mountain/trail running modalities. Fyke can help you choose the test that best suits your level, here.

The event consists of three multi-stage races:

ULTRA (ULSA): Covering a total distance of 110 km, this race is divided into three stages, providing options for individual runners, teams, or 2-person relays.

GRAN TRAIL (GTSA): Spanning 62 km, the GRAN TRAIL is also divided into three stages, allowing individuals or 2-person teams to participate.

MARATÓN (MASA): The MARATÓN race covers a distance of 42 km, split into three stages, catering to both individual runners and 2-person teams.

Additionally, the event features three single-stage races:

GRAN PREMIO "DIPUTACIÓN DE ZAMORA": This 33 km race is designed for individual participants (follows the same route as the ULSA 3rd stage, known as the Queen Stage).

GRAN PREMIO "CAJA RURAL": With a distance of 20 km, this race is also tailored for individual runners (coincides with the MASA 2nd stage).

GRAN PREMIO "SCARPA": The GRAN PREMIO "SCARPA" covers approximately 16 km and is open to individual participants (Coinciding with the MASA 3rd stage).

Mandatory Technical Equipment

As the event draws near, participants should be mindful of the mandatory technical equipment required for each category and stage. From water bottles and energy reserves to GPS devices and thermal blankets, every athlete must adhere to the equipment guidelines to ensure their safety and well-being during the event.

Equipment Verification

Before the Start: Prior to the commencement of each stage, all participants must undergo a mandatory equipment verification process specific to the race they are about to embark on. Failure to meet the equipment criteria may result in the withdrawal of the race number, preventing the participant from taking part in the race.

During the Race: To ensure fair play and safety, random checks of mandatory equipment will be conducted at various control points throughout the race. The event organizers hold the authority to impose penalties or disqualify any participant found without the necessary gear as stipulated in the guidelines.

After the Race: Upon reaching the finish line of each stage, selected participants may be subject to post-race equipment checks. Failure to comply with the mandatory equipment requirements may lead to penalties, including the withdrawal of the race number.
